Boy it's been a busy few days! First there was Friday the 13th, then Valentine's day (which was also game day FRF), now it's Monday and we still haven't posted the draft! It's a good one, too. Check it out!
This deck came together surprisingly well. First picking a build around mythic helps, but even still, it takes something to make a strategy work.
In all honesty, we had pretty good luck, which combined well with a strong deck and good plays. There were a few glaring exceptions, such as pitching a vital land and a throttle in the bin. Sometimes errors are made while playing MTGO that would never be made in paper, but that is part of the fun and challenge of playing online.
When the Manifest mechanic was revealed there was a lot of doubt surrounding it's usability. When Tams saw it she decided we needed to try putting it in a deck full of manifest and morphs, and that's basically what we got here. It really helps not to have to put any resources into manifesting. Getting a free 2/2 every turn really is excellent, and when you've got the up side of being able to unmorph a flyer, it really shifts the game.
I still haven't gotten through to Wizards about the two client issues. I'm not worried about getting an event reimbursement, but I do want to submit a bug report. A morph is not a token, and having the client treat it as a token is a pretty major error. I'll let you know if anything comes of that conversation.
In the mean time, I'm excited to finally get this draft out to you, and hopefully we'll have just as interesting a video series coming this Friday.
Thanks for watching and we'll see you next time,
-Step.
